Summer Days

I haven't been very consistent with my blog updates, but I wanted to fill you in on what we have been doing over the summer. Hope these pictures give you an idea of the fun times we have enjoyed during our break.

Spring Break 09

We spent 4 awesome days in Angel Fire, NM. It was Jake's first time to ski, Joe's 2nd time, and my 5th (although it was a LONG time ago the last time I skied). Jake loved it! He was a natural. I spent most of the time trying to catch up to him on the slopes. I thought he might be a little freaked out by the lifts, but he wasn't. Joe and I had a blast watching him and longing for the days when our knees didn't kill us!

On the lift ride up Jake says, " I think I am the best skier out here...well, kid skier at least."

Catching Up

It's been a while since my last post. I thought I would catch you up on the last 2 months with some of my favorite pics. Enjoy!

Jake has kinder rodeo coming up. One of the assignements was to make a stick horse as a family. I was thinking something simple and easy, but Jake had other plans. He wanted dad to use the saw and make one out of wood. Below is the finished product. I was in charge of shopping for accessories, but the boys were the creative genius behind the horse.

Soccer season is in full swing. Jake has improved tremendously since last season. He still needs us to "remind" him to get aggressive. I love these action shots.

We just celebrated Jake's 6th birthday. It seems so hard to believe. He's growing up so fast and he's such a amazing kid. He makes me laugh so hard. Here's his new electric scooter he got for his birthday day. I love the cool guy hand signs.

I Will Protect This House

Jake had a basketball game this Saturday. It was cold outside, so he wanted to wear his Under Armour shirt under his uniform. He wore it all day long. Joe was telling him about the Under Armour commercial, so they watched it online. Jake made a few of his own versions of the commerical wearing his Under Armour.
