Well, Jake and I both survived our first day of school! I am not sure who was more worn out at the end of the day, me or Jake! He has been very excited about school, asking every few days if he is going to school today. I wasn't sure how today would go, mostly with getting up so early. Luckily I wasn't around for that part. I left pretty early to make sure my room was ready, so Joe brought him to school today. He said he wasn't too pleasant this morning. I managed to get him in bed by 8:30 last night and again tonight!
We walked him to his room and he went right in and found his cubby and then sat down at his spot and begin his coloring page his teacher had out for him. He barely acknowledged that Joe and I were there. I was so proud of him, but a little sad that he seemed so grown up.
We saw each other in the hallway a few times throughout the day. He had a big grin and a wave for me. His teacher saw me after school and told me that he had a great day. One of my friends works closely with his grade and she took some pictures of the class throughout the day. I don't have them yet, but I saw them.
He was pretty fired up after school and hungry. It didn't take him long to settle down. In fact he almost fell asleep in the car on the way home!!

I am so glad that you wrote tonight. I was going to call and see how is day went but I thought you all might be busy. When Juliana and I were leaving Jacquelyn's she said, "Mommy, Jake-Jake at school?" I said "yes". She then replied "well we need to get him. You pick him up?" I tried to explain to her that you were with him but now she thinks that you will be at school with her too next week. :) She prayed her you guys last night during pray time. Glad to hear things went well. Talk to you soon.
Love ya
